Events at The Inn

The Terrace Inn may be the perfect destination for your meeting, retreat, reunion or other event.  Allow us the opportunity to give you a tour of our facility, sample the menu and
assist you in planning your function so that it runs smoothly and everyone enjoys the experience.
 

The spacious DeVol Dining/Banquet Room can be arranged a number of ways to suit the occasion and can seat up to 110 guests.  Expansive 12 foot original windows with transom and lace curtains offer a spacious and elegant atmosphere and lighting can be moderated between chandeliers that dim and sconces to add more light for task work.
  

The Lobby is an excellent gathering space, especially around the original arts and crafts wood-burning fireplace in the winter and can serve as an extension of the dining room, registration area or just a spot for guests to relax in the leather chairs and ottomans.

The Guest Rooms are located on 3 floors with 5 on the main floor and 19 on the 2nd and 3rd floors (there are 37 rooms total). There is no elevator, however, the staircase is wide with railings and assistance with baggage can be provided.  Just let us know in advance and we can schedule accordingly for check in and departure.  Check in is 4 p.m. and Check out is 11 a.m., however, we can be flexible depending on your needs.  Rooms are meant for 1 or 2 persons and a special rate applies for groups for single occupancy.  We can offer a flat rate for reservation of the entire Inn or a percentage discount off depending on how many rooms you rent.

Our group getaway package is an affordable 2 night plan for $109.00 plus taxes per person.
As always we can customize your event so that individual and groups goals can be met, productivity is achieved, and the situation is a win-win for everyone involved.

Meals.  Our extensive menu and beverage choices allow you to accommodate a variety of needs, no matter whom comprises your group, our chef can accommodate you.  His knowledge and versatility ranges from Northern Michigan cuisine (the most popular considering our location) to elegant brunches, simple buffet lunches, plated meals, or an array of appetizers for a casual event.  Our ingredients are fresh, with use of herbs and spices and fish caught locally with same day delivery.  You can be sure that our cooking is home-made and not out of a box.  The additional expense is well worth the satisfaction we get from delighting our customers!

 Our wine, beer and cocktail fare include a variety of excellent choices, and bar packages are available.  Since we have a Liquor License, all alcohol must be purchased from the Inn.

Keep in mind that our restaurant is open to the public (see restaurant hours), and for Inn and private events (link to event calendar) and the first detail is to determine whether the date is available and if not, whether a secondary date is an option. 
 
Facility fees are added depending on how it impacts our dining venue and vary seasonally. Compared to other places in the area, our prices are reasonable and you can be assured of a good value, exceptional service and excellent food.
